Kentucky sophomore Abby Steiner won the women's 200-meter title in a national-leading 22.57 seconds and placed sixth in the 60-meter dash final in 7.38 seconds, with fellow sophomore Alexis Holmes capturing the 400-meter crown in 52.08 and anchoring the 4x400-meter relay to a runner-up finish in 3:30.42 at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships at Gilliam Indoor Stadium in College Station, Texas. It marked the first 200 conference championship in program history for the Wildcats and the second 400 crown in three years, following Sydney McLaughlin in 2018. Steiner also equaled the No. 15 all-time collegiate indoor 200 performer.
