Mikeisha Welcome, a senior at Georgia representing Canada, won the women's triple jump title with an opening-round effort of 44-1.25 (13.44m) effort at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Welcome also placed 15th in the long jump final with a mark of 19-2.75 (5.86m).
